Yes,

OTM calls are going to pay less if the stock does not move. I am a big believer in taking money out of the market from time to time and placing it in things that appreciate but improve your life. Ex - for me, it's an airplane because the planes are appreciating so fast. For others it may be a vacation home etc. etc.

Dave...extending the discussion on our options thread...I'd still tend NOT to write July (curious what Tom thinks). You can't predict that far ahead. If you write them monthly, add up 5 months worth of smaller premium for one July, see if you don't do better, and it seems to me with less chance of being called.

Also, you can even position trade them. Sell 175s on a runup, and buy them back on a dip. I did that earlier this month: sold cc for $4 each, bought them back later that week for $1 each. It's not such a bad deal.
