I am in agreement with you and the i-line stuff from UTEK has probably more to do with non IC semiconductor businesses like TFH, MEMS, and backend stuff. However, the ISI i-line stepper (ex-GCA) is probably the platform from which UTEK expects to build its DUV and EUV presence. The last time ?I spoke with contacts at ISI prior to the acquisition, the ISI system can be retroffited to DUV.

As far as scanners are concerned, you are right on target there also. This will become more evident at 300mm where throughput will be a killer if scanners aren't used. As far as the winners in the scanner market are concerned, I think you have hit the mail on the head. I just do not see SVGI as ever becoming a major player.
