Mike,
I think you are referring to a flaw in the new SI system. It appears that all messages directed to you are listed in your inbox. Thay used to be automatically deleted but now it seems you have to go to the inbox and individually delete.

If I am wrong I hope someone will explain.

Len

Mike,

<< That depends on what order the user reads messages. In my case, I read all the public messages first. For some inexplicable reason, when I go to the private inbox the same messages I've already read are remain in my inbox. To get rid of them I have to click on the link to the public message >>

BrowseMaster (which unfortunately won't be around much longer) used with Classic SI has an answer to this. When following your sequence clicking on "refresh" at the top of the "inbox" page eliminates all read messages. Very convenient.

If you read public messages one by one they will be automatically deleted from your in box. However, if you read public messages by hitting the "view next 10" button then the messages are not deleted from your private in box. An SI quirk, and not one of the good ones.
