Re: "Poor Elmer. The fact is that if Intel demonstrates a 1.3 GHz "mutant lab Coppermine" (TM Dan3), it is an Intel fantasy, not an AMD fantasy. It will remain an Intel fantasy until we see more than one 800 MHz Flopper on Pricewatch, and until webexchange.necx.com shows liquid trading in something higher than the 667 Mhz Flopper."

Kevin, I see you carefully constructed your criteria to exclude all the 800MHz HP systems available all over the country. So much for honesty. I really have no clear idea what Intel will demo next week, other than their announced plans to demo a 1 GHz x86 processor, presumably a CuMine. You have no idea either and you have no idea how close they are to production. It seems quite foolish for a person to claim facts which they do not have knowledge of. Not surprising, just foolish. You might end up looking as foolish as Kash did when he claimed CuMine couldn't possibly match Athlon in Integer performance and anyone who claimed so was a liar.
