Bill and Gary. If you read the article carefully I think you will find that he puts LU, NT and Cisco into the same bag. The one who recognizes the threats and the technology and "executes" will reap the bonanza. I am convinced that optical to the door will happen. I believe that Cisco will execute the fastest in the end. SONET is here today but it will be superceded very quickly! When is only a question of time and demand. I will admit that some of his predictions have not happened but they have for the most part happened! I love electronics, it's my native backround but I also love physics and optical has many advantages. The big question is when this will all come to pass. Cisco has a stake in many companies working on this problem. They are fertilizing the grass and will reap many $$ going forward. The reason Cisco has been my largest holding the last 7 + years is it's excellent management. As long as that continues Cisco will continue to be my core holding. Eric
