>> Cree patent GaN on Si: I am not technically savvy enough to decipher all their patents. I am relying on a comment made by by the company. probably the epitaxil material, bonding and contact arrangement.

If this patent were meaningful it would have led to a product offering based on a silicon substrate, which is widely available and much cheaper than SiC. If someone else develops a cost effective GaN on Si product, it would most likely not infringe on Cree's ip.

Just speculating,
uf

Hi,

Anyone know how much product (or revenue for that matter) CREE will be able to generate after completion of their new production facilities? Anyone know when these facilities will be completed.

I only ask this b/c as I understand CREE is experiencing greater (and growing) demand than supply/production capacity.

Specifically, I am interested in seeing if CREE will be able to increase production to match revenue expectations

Thanks,
Racer
