elmer,

DELL has caught up with what I have been saying all along.

"Please contact your sales representative for more information as estimated ship dates for the Pentium© III Processor at 800MHz will exceed 30 days."

Only 3 reasons I can think of:

#1 The poor P6 core won't run 800.
#2 The yields suck.
#3 The poor P6 core sucks because it can't yield 800.

Make it so,
Mysef

Re: "#1 They're too embarrassed.

#3 They're too embarrassed AND too ashamed"

I for one would never own stock in a company whose honesty and credibility I didn't trust.

Why do you own (and continue to own) AMD? And don't tell me that you had shares put to you and then you conveniently forgot to sell them <gg>.

Kevin

Elmer - RE: bugs

If you are so interested in what bugs (errata in Intel speak) the Athlon has why don't you just ask AMD??

There is probably some e-mail address somewhere on AMD's site you could ask. Maybe software development or something like that.
