Jim,
I guess I'm now an swing trader <GG>. The OPMR strategy used by the trader works because OPMR is the right stock to do this with. OPMR has been very tightly bound in the trading range of $29-$38 numerous times and this is not likely going to change unless a fundies-changing news emerges or the overall market caves in.

I browsed over the insider trading activity at Yahoo and I think we should be prepared for another round of insider sales starting mid March. According to the link below,

biz.yahoo.com

Three key insiders (Wechsler, Ostrin, Karp) registered to sell 97K each on Sept 17 and 100K each on Dec 13. These were all option exercise transactions with $3 as their basis. They managed to sell all within 2-3 weeks after registration. Therefore, I expect about 300K (2-3 days worth of average trading volume) to come into the market as well for 3 weeks in between mid-March and early April.

OPMR has not fully recovered above the prices they sold in December (high 30's). Unless OPMR can provide some solid news announcements in the next month, I don't think OPMR can overcome the $38 - $40 resistence hurdle going into April. Therefore, I continue to think the best way to profit from OPMR short term is to swing trade the range. OPMR has been marching on higher high's for the past few days. With the overall market walking the edge of a more broad-based decline, I would not be hesitant to use a failure to continue this higher high pattern as a reason to sell my trading shares for this cycle.
