Dear EdA:

Cannot accept 'underlying assumption.' Sometimes a little offensiveness can be stimulating - until it becomes inordinate, or inappropriate. Sarcasm isn't always out of bounds - and one of the elements of sarcasm seems to be a whit of offensiveness.

Try Pain. It is bearable, until it becomes unbearable, yes?

I have never bent over backwards to justify 'authored' or 'authoritarian' statements or expressions. The pulpit belongs to us all. And I refuse to eternally consider myself as seated in a pew.

Geo.

PS: Even ignoring the sidebars, above, I simply find your statement about underlying assumptions completely unsupportable.

Fondly, and with hearty wishes that you experience the smoochiest of Valentine's Days,

G.
