Walter Herlihy spoke about the profile of a good secretin responder. The profiles of those that responded well to treatment were compiled from the multiple anecdotal reports compiled over the last 12 months:
> Boys
> Age 3 to 6
> Chronic Diarrhea
> Regressive Autism
> Severe symptoms
> Pancreatic "gushers"(Jake was a gusher)
>
Clinical observations
Repligen feels that reliable anecdotal reports indicate that overnight fasting leads to a more successful secretin infusion. Antibiotics/infection blocks secretin.

Secretin Safety
Commercial antibody tests are unreliable. Don't waste your money.
>
There was a brief mention of metabolic response to secretin and change in blood serotonin concentration after secretin injection(higher serotonin levels).
>
Biological Profiles Project.
Repligen wants to collect urine/blood samples from 50 to 100 well diagnosed children. They want to carry out immune, endocrine and metabolic profiles and find biological subsets.

There should be a high quality secretin available starting late 2000. Similar to Ferring secretin, this product will only be officially approved for diagnostic purpose and not to treat autism. >>>

Despite being way up from my entry price, RGEN appears to still be at ground floor relative to it's near and far term potential.
