why not stick to the real issues at hand that affect IDC's future.

OK

let's discuss IDC's contribution to the 3g platform relative their news release earlier outlining such....you and others prefer to discuss issues other than IDC's current renewal picture, 3g patents, and system and a chip.

The other issues you allude to are

1. IDC's overall revenue
2. IDC's current royalty stream
3. The pending ERICY/TDMS hearing
4. Discussing 3G is all well and good, but IDC's dominance hasn't been established and even if it was, resultant royalties are several years off. What will IDC live off in the meantime?

you can obviously discuss anything you like, and you and others do it well; but relative to your real need to discuss IDC, the company, it appears your and others' motives for doing so are guided by motivation other than seeking what is true..... what is your real purpose for pursuing IDC other than acting as a devil's advocate?

Thanks for the compliment.
I looked at IDC a couple of years ago and passed. WLL wasn't a happening thing. Interest was piqued again when Maria Bartiromo referred to them as the next QCOM. I was stunned at the levels the shares had risen too. So I took another look. Part of 'taking another look' is to come here and give you guys a hard time, much as I have done on the QCOM thread and others.

The reason I was looking was a potential hedge for my QCOM, NOK and ERICY positions.

is it your understanding that Qualcomm and IDC are mutually exclusive relative to
the pursuit of third generation technology (in spite of what is happening with
IMT2000)? Or that narrowband CDMA is the best solution for the
telecommunications marketplace going forward? Are you intuned to Qualcomm that
you have a difficult time reviewing the benefits of IDC's technology plate?

I really don't know why you and Jim keep bringing up QCOM (and by implication 3G). I am much more interested in the EICY/TDMA angle

What is your real purpose for discussing IDC? To show that you have the ability to
tear apart past peripheral aspects of a company without fully addressing actual
future prospects in return? You've been consistent in your misuse of terminology
regarding the MOT trial, yet this seems to be, to you, an indication that IDC will
somehow fail in the future?

What you consider to be peripheral, I consider to be central. 3G, for the medium term prospects of IDC share price, is peripheral.

Regarding the MOT trial - IDC lost. Markman or otherwise, this puts IDC at a disadvantage? Or maybe not? Can you shed some light on this?
