Fyi: back in december i was in the market for a new pc. I saw what i thought to be an excellent deal on TV... being offered by Value USA (VUSA). Upon further inspection, i realized that the 'great' deal was actually quite deceptive, in that their offering price included a $400 dollar MSN rebate.

Of course I have no interest in having a dial-up connection via MSFT for the next 3 years, so i passed on the offer.

This is like signing an analog cell-phone contract a few years back (for the free phone)... only to discover that analog is dated, and digital phones are where it's at.

PS... I've found the cheapest way to buy a pc (with good specs) is to go to pricewatch.com, buy the componentry you want, and have your tech buddy (if you got one) put it together for you. Or do it yourself if able. You can get a screaming computer for about $2000 using this method.
