Unfortunately, much of AMDs fortunes are tied to gaining market share from Intel, especially at the high end. OTOH, much of the Intel bashing that occurs is backlash related to a few Intel faithful.
That said, this thread provides much better information than just a Pom Pom thread (TM-Tony Viola) where there are few naysayers...

RE: "A informed investor is a wise investor."

This thread is living proof that that statement is not always correct.

Sorry, that was sort of a joke, however:

Given the flaming that goes on 24/7 on this thread, its hard to see that the intent of your statement was to be funny.

RE: "Do you all have nothing better to do on the Intel thread but to make jabs at AMD"

I read this thread frequently for information. The subject of 1/3 or more of all posts is Intel bashing, as if making Intel a bad company will make AMD a good company. On the Intel thread, less than one in ten posts even mentions AMD.

There is a lot of Intel bashing because there is any number of Intel longs who come over to this thread and bash AMD. If you had the same amount of AMD longs flaming Intel on your thread, I suspect the level of AMD bashing would increase dramatically.

However in spite of all the flaming, there is a great deal of useful information to be found on this thread. And from that info, I was able to make a very successful investment.

Anyway, take it easy. Looks like a rising tide is going to lift both our boats, which is a good thing. Intel is a great company, AMD looks as if it is getting to be pretty damn good.

I am not worried about AMD since it seems to be on a roll. Besides its beginning to look like AMD and Intel may be learning to coexist in the marketplace. There may be progress after all.
