Tony, RE: Rambus

Congratulations should go to those that own far more shares of RMBS than I do. Paul and Ibexx come to mind.

RE: "they're still a DRAM company."

I would say they are more of a technology licensing company. Regardless of supply/demand for DRAM, they get their cut, they shouldn't be price sensitive. Now if a better technology comes along...

The other part is that (assumed) increased supply of RDRAM is good news for high end sales for Intel.

RMBS are not just a DRAM company. They are in the business of transferring data between chips at high speed. One of the applications happens to be transferring data between DRAM and Mainboard.

I know what you mean about DRAM company - you mean low margins etc. RMBS have the monopoly on high speed chip to chip data transfer. They are big news. I love Intel and have high hopes for my INTC stock but I think RMBS will outperform them by a large factor.

Look into it, you could make a lot of money.

Tony,

RE: Yesterdays post - "Rambus up 24, that's great, John. They may hit $200 but they're still a DRAM company."

Geez, they might hit $200 this afternoon. Are they worth twice what they were worth a week ago? Even I don't get this market.
