A true story. I live in the Baltimore area and called for heating oil the other day. The company told me they could deliver but they were advising the customers of the 190 per gallon charge <with all discounts> and they were encouraging me to use an alternative source for heat such as a wood stove. when I explained that my wood was almost out and needed oil she encouraged me to take a reduced delivery. after accepting a 100 gallon delivery we got to talking. It was then that she explained that they actually had a supply problem 2 weeks ago. It is quite obvious to me that they still don't have enough supply or she wouldn't be encouraging me to use my wood stove or take a reduced delivery. if everyone takes a reduced delivery then no one get pissed off because they are out of oil. Sorry for rambling but I found this very relative to our board here.
