<<I have very important need for ans. NOW. I can't get my mouse wheel to work right.... I can't get it to move fast....HELP PLEASE. This has to be the most important question of today for everyone!>>

Greg; relax. The solution is simple. Open the cage carefully to make sure the mouse doesn't escape. Reach into the cage and remove the mouse wheel from the cage; right where the mouse wheel axle mount is. Put a few drops of 3-in-1 oil or a squirt of powdered graphite on the mouse wheel axle mounting. Remount the mouse wheel. That baby should turn like greased lightening the next time the mouse hops in for a run.

Hope that helps.

........VVVVVVVVVV ; )

Not sure where your new computer fits into the question.

Go to Control Panel, Mouse, Pointer Speed, and put it in on Fast. If this doesn't work take the ball out, clean it, and put it back in. If that doesn't work you're screwed.

GM - Mouse wheel -

Well..I've had some minor snags with mine from time to time.

The follwing is a sort of fix it list:-

1. Leave it alone and try again in the morning. Very often a good fix for W98 problems.

2. Reinstall the mouse software.

3. Try another mouse.

4. Try a USB mouse

5. Get the mouse control software and try changing parameters in that, you know...put some trails in or speed it up or try to activate the 'where is the mouse now' facility.

6. Control panel - system - mouse or devices....check this one out and fool around with it a little if possible.

7. Phone MSFT help... they are very good and have seen your problem before.

Now back at the ranch where is the bottom here. We have become a shorters dream $5 down a day. ...

Best regards,

L

You gotta feed that mouse a little cheese every now and then. He might have died on you.
