Keith, good point. Certainly I was suffering from some sort of euphoria. The tax issue also brings into question whatever, if any, tax loss carry-forwards they have. And it maybe cash and stock or maybe only stock potentially as a tax free exchange resulting in a monetization issue again albeit with a more stable AOL, or maybe nothing at all will happen so I was certainly out in front of the interference here. But this is better than it was last week. I'll take a combination of cash (to raise book) and AOL stock (to improve the attractiveness and stability of the IDTC franchise) and then hope that another suitor comes along and makes HJ an offer he can't refuse. I guess we'll know more later this week.

<Um.....don't forget about the IRS....they get a lot of the proceeds....book value will be much less than 60...but still a lot higher than it is now.

Not such a problem if IDT makes a major fiber investment. They can spend a billion and it will be valuued at 4x that for depreciating purposes. Also, if it is a cash plus AOL shares deal. The shares can be swapped and or dividended tax free.
