Jochen- Funny post<g> and thanks for those details on the other cablecos I had never heard of previously. It's not easy here, to keep up with European developments.

Please post any news about German/European CATV, DSL, LMDS, and even dialup Last Mile access developments in Germany and Europe. I'm sure it will be appreciated by all Last Mile investors. Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

Re: Harmonic(sym:HLIT) Opening Office in Deutschland

Jochen and Thread- IMO, a very good move by Harmonic to open an office in Munich. I'm sure their number one target will be government owned cable giant, Deutsche Telekom. You see DT is being forced to sell off it's cable assets and will focus on it's twisted pair network. Once they sell off their cable assets, there are a lot of USA billionaires wanting to upgrade the cable plant to two-way HFC.

If you go upstream(via who wrote) a few links, you'll see lot's of information and stats I've posted on DT's cable plant. IMHO, a most interesting situation. -MikeM(From Florida)
