Riechers:

I have a lot of respect for Zeev.

That said, this is simply a massive short covering situation IMHO ( more than half the issued was shorted,....a very dangerous situation for any short. Been there, done that. Use puts), with impetus added by the announcement from Dell (a two micro computer,...wow, just what I need to do my word processing and internet searches,.... and so cheap!) as well as Intel's announcement that Rambus is still their choice for the future ("new" news?).

Of course, it was interesting to dig a bit into the Intel comments today,
- RMBS won't be used in servers, but DDR will. (wow!)
- RMBS is Intel's "top choice" for desktop and mobile market. (I like the choice of words)
- RMBS won't cut it at "value" (low priced) end of market. (Where most of the sales are)
- Intel is still having delivery problems with Coppermine (what else is new?).
Intel will soon unveil the Celeron 600 (Siss-boom-bam-rah-rah)
- Intel will ship the i820 with both sdram and rdram compatibility. (I wonder why).
- DDR is no good for desktop and mobile market. (this is simply not accurate, but a reason for its inclusion is not hard to imagine).

I'll happily maintain my bearish perspective on this stock
and cheer its meteoric ascent (they fall harder than they climb). There has been no change in the story from my perspective.

Best, Earlie
