With the Intel "Road map" extravaganza in high gear and tech stock "love-ins",....er ... conferences in gear, it's a good week to let these boys shove them up to even higher yard arms. (g)

Meanwhile, the IPO market continues to suck plenty of dough out of the arena. Exhaustion ahead?

Ah, AMAT: here's the received view:
"Applied Materials (AMAT) 166 1/2 +5 7/16: --Update-- Revenues
were at the high end of the estimate range at $1.67 bln, but more
importantly, Q1 orders were much stronger than expected at $2.36
bln, exceeding even the most optimistic estimates of about $2.2 bln."
