I had a follow up call with Ms. Dolcourt, the contact person on the HP release on 2/8/00 regarding the open SAN initiative and qualification of BRCD. She indicated that HP would provide specs and information to their customers regarding all qualified SAN switches and that the customer would then decide which switch to purchase from HP. She stated that "HP is a conduit of information." I have one follow up question regarding interoperability, that is, if two switches are approved for the open SAN initiative, will they interoperate with each other. She is checking and I will report back. Eric
