AOL Reportedly In Talks To Buy Net2Phone From IDT

NEW YORK -- America Online Inc. is reportedly in talks to buy IDT Corp.'s controlling stake in Internet-based phone service Net2Phone Inc. in a cash and stock deal that could be worth as much as $1.75 billion.

IDT (IDTC) is in talks to sell 25.1 million shares of Net2Phone (NTOP) to Dulles, Va.-based AOL (AOL) for $70 or more each, CNBC reported Monday. AOL already owns a 5% stake in Net2Phone.
