I believe the original stepping was centered near 780MHz
+/- 12.5%.(not including guardband) From
overclockers.com I see virtually nothing below
670MHz and virtually nothing above 890MHz (at 1.65V with std. cooling and not including guardband) This would fit the current situation including a distinct scarcity of 800MHz shippable parts. A +/-30% distribution for the same
stepping would indicate terrible process control. Maybe my +/-12.5% distribution is a bit too tight, but I think worse case is +/- 15%. I expect the next stepping to center at (at least) 940MHz (not including guardband) If they don't
reach at least that, they are in trouble. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
