What matters is how it performs when it does come out. I seem to remember Itanium being several years late and it
too skipped the .25um generation. In fact, it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to build at .25um and you know it. I don't pretend to know if SUN ULTIMATELY came up with a good design
or not. For Intel's sake, you better hope not. If they did, the .18um TI process is quite good and the .13um process is even better.
