Hey Herm,

I need to buy back my ROST 15 puts this week, hoping for a little more runup to get them cheap. I see good things on this stock, again. Earnings estimates were just increased across the board. This stock has basically no negative fundamentals. I sold the March 15 calls AND Puts, hoping the stock moves sideways for the next month, and collect on it.

KM is killing me. I need it to pull up a couple of points so I can sell the 10s at a reasonable level. If this truly is a seasonal stock, we may be looking at sitting on it for a little while. You're LEAP play sounds good, but I think you're gambling a bit. You're spending money to make less money, unless you think you can get called out. The sept. 15s at 3/8 isn't much considering you spent 1 3/4 on the JAN 01. AND if the stock isn't above 12, you're looking at a loss. You're pretty close to expiration on the LEAPS at that point. Although, I expect the stock to move upward over the next 6 months, so it might be a good play.

I don't know if you ever got into SKS, but I sold puts a month or so ago, when the stock was around 15. I sold the Feb. 17.5s. Amazingly, I had the stock PUT to me yesterday. Unreal. Never happened to me before. Thats a bummer too, because I was looking for a good point this week to roll out a couple months, try to make my money back in time value. Oh well....let that be a warning to all. I guess now I'll have to wait for a little runup to sell calls...

Good luck...
Ryan

Herm: Operative word "braver" (dumb/stubborn) as opposed to smarter in the case of OAKT for me .It is too bad that CC's aren't available. But based on the chart, do you think
1) the Viagra is wearing off?
2)it's time to take proceeds and do a BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL? Am I hearing the announcement right? "Attention K Mart shoppers" .....
buy Jan 2001 10's @ 1.75: and sell Sept 15 calls for 3/8 premie? ( .375 divided by 1.75= 22% in 6 mo.'s (Sep exp.'y date) if uncalled
and if called (price must rise to 15.00 we get an unexpected , but welcome, additional "kicker" of 3.25 (15-10=5-1 3/4 = 3.25 ?) Am I getting it right? Sorry for re stating the obvious(just dense I guess)

3)Where do you get all of your excellent fund'ys at (that you always throw in to back up your well thought out plans?)

4) A BIT OFF TOPIC: I a) HIGHLIGHTED your link to the chart site AND CLICKED ON IT but I'm NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE CHART SITE!!!!!!!!!!!

b) I copy and paste it to my address bar. STILL NO ACCESS. I'M STUCK(even though I have logged in SI password etc earlier)
c) I have E MAILED "support" 7 times. and just get "canned" for letter describing a site for chart features. THEY DON'T GET IT! I AM NOT ABLE TO OPEN IT! NOT EVEN THRU A SEARCH USING A BROWSER TO REFER ME TO AN SI LINK (or from your CC site , for that matter). I CAN'T OPEN IT.(I'M A LIFETIME MEMBER, (i.e. paid up in full), LONG TIME USER, but I am wondering if my using a "Proxy" (privacy/cookie eater control) is the culprit.

Could you HELP me? As I am unable for a week now, to follow your chart references. I always like to copy these from your comments while doing my paper trades. And now I'm flying BLIND/ BIG TIME.

Otherwise If I can get your variables,I could PLUG THEM INTO ANOTHER CHART SITE that supports BB, RSI, OBv, XX day Moving AVG.'s etc. But I need your RECIPE to get the right results.

Thanks Herm for everything
jaytee

Herm,

The public's perception is pretty hard to figure on some of these companies. I owned OAKT beck in the days when it was in the $3 range, selling a about 5x earnings. Unfortunately I paid $5 or $6 as I recall, and watched it slip lower and lower. I finally bailed out with a hefty loss. Now it's 50x earnings and everybody wants it. All I heard back then was about mismanagement and OAKT getting left behind by DVD. Got my fill of reading the Yahoo message boards back then. Didn't find SI until sometime later. Congrats to jaytee for hanging in there with this one.

Now if KM will just follow......

Dan

Hey Herm: A quick favor. Could you visit this site?

askresearch.com

and TWEAK the BB, rsi, obv, macd, sto, and any other DMA type techical the way I am accustomed to seeing them in your posts on the "other" site?

I will check back tonite and click on your "link" if you will leave me with one in your reply (after you have corrected/turbo charged these modifiable indicators). Then I can save it in my "Favorites" for future entry of the stocks you post. (this one allows me in w/ or w/o cookies)
Many thanks
jaytee
