JANX - has news today - Feb. 15, 2000--Janex International,
Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: JANX) www.oKID.com, announced today that
it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Politics.com (OTC
Bulletin Board: POCO,) www.politics.com, a leading political web site
to offer to oKID.com visitors an educational and political information
service catered to children and their parents on the internet. The
service will be an area of the oKID web site where children will be
able to learn about the functions of local and national government.
They will also be able to access information about Election 2000
candidates and their viewpoints.
Vincent W. Goett, Chairman, President and CEO of Janex stated,
"After a review of many politically orientated sites, Politics.com is
oKID's most logical choice of partner to offer political information
to our children viewers and their parents. Our site will feature a
link directly into Politics.com as a service to parents and children
eager to learn about today's political issues. Getting children
involved in today's governmental issues and political debate not only
increases their knowledge about this great country, but also
strengthens our ability to attract and retain a substantially larger
user audience who will stay at our site and come back more often."
Howard R. Baer, Chairman of Politics.com, stated "oKID.com is
already a remarkable site for children. We are truly excited to offer
our user-friendly service to a young and eager-to-learn audience. Many
Americans today neglect their constitutional right to vote. Our site
will also feature a link to oKID.com, and we intend to provide
oKID.com all available data within our resources to create a special
place for educating children about important local and national
issues. By educating children and getting parents involved with
political issues, Politics.com hopes to help mold today's children
into tomorrow's conscientious voters and rekindle voter enthusiasm
among our young audience's parents."
OKID.com already features an oKID government facility that will
be further developed to include several buildings to act as the
"political destination" within oKID World. Visitors to the site will
be able to navigate directly to the area from Politics.com or by
entering oKID.com.
OKID.com is owned and operated by Janex International, Inc. Janex
