since cbsmarketwatch reported the deal and they have proven so accurate in the past, i will be surprised if the deal falls apart.

Tony, FWIW, I hear ya. I believe the rumor is true and suspect it'll take IDTC higher yet, but as I said, not sure it's really going to do much for their credibility. I suspect the street will not bid the stock up on HJ's other deals till he has the cash in hand...if totally then.

Glad to see it's panning out for many long term holders! Good luck!

I've already offloaded some of my IDT shares @ 28 and was close to offloading a good chunk more before the bell. The biggest concern of mine is that the latest run-up is based on unsubstantiated speculation. I know some of the people on Yahoo and SI#1 thread are very confident of a positive outcome but we all felt that prior to N2P ipo. Given that this is a speculative runup I also believe there is a greater downside potential than upside. I witheld however, but will be keeping a close eye on activity on Tuesday. I agree with Steve that should these rumours prevail HJ's credibility and that of IDT will be further eroded. As a public company seeking capital from outsiders, it is important to lay out a clear strategy and execute accordingly. IDT has done neither well and in my opinion squandered a unique opportunity it had 2 years ago. IDT may or may not get a multi billion injection of funds from AOL but I will be no more confident that HJ will know what to do with it. I remain dear to this thread as SF and the Doc flee back to SI#1.
