Here is this weeks report from Richard. Looks like there is some good stuff continuing to happen, especially related to the internet. Makamai Richard's Wednesday Report for February 16, 2000 This Week's Topic: BNTI Expands It's Internet Initiatives I believe it was in my Sept. 1st/99 Report when I first began talking about possible Internet applications for BNTI's technology. For more details refer to my follow-up reports for Nov 24th, Dec 8th, Dec 15th (1999) and Jan 12th, 2000. This initiative continues to show great potential and management has decided to broaden the company's new "Internet Business Unit" and dedicate more resources to internet opportunities. Since entering into a development contract with Sideware Systems, an internet based sister company (see Nov. 18th Press Release), the company has found a surprising level of potential AI (artificial intelligence) applications to the internet for its technology. For example: BNTI has completed the initial stage of its development contract with Sideware by developing an internet tool called the "Wizmaster" (see Nov 24th report). This software has now been installed for use in Sideware's "Dr. Bean" e-CRM product. Developed with the help of Sideware, the Wizmaster provides a certain level of "unattended" customer service on the internet. Sideware pays BNTI for components in addition to royalties via a licensing agreement for integrating this software into a product line. Development work on internet uses for the company's "IMPAC" Board (see Jan 12th Report) is also in full gear. As part of the IMPAC Boards on-going "anti computer virus" project, the company has personnel in Texas this week running a first stage demonstration of the Board's anti virus potential. A parallel project which the company is researching on the IMPAC Board includes development work on its potential capabilities as an internet security tool. As a direct result of the research initiated last September, the company is discovering that the internet provides a very fertile environment for its technology. I will keep you updated on continued development as we move ahead with these projects. See you next Wednesday at midday (PST). R. S. Simpson
