By allowing multitude of OSes to be developed on IA-64 the customers will have a choice of OSes. In the end the customer decides which OS will win in the battle for IA-64.

Just wanted to thank you both for your response. Hope you will post any other thoughts or releases you see that pertain to this. Virus hit and I'm just now catching up on posts. Gives me time to think.

I've sure been impressed with Intel's avalanche at IDF. I was afraid of the high expectations. Now amazed at everything coming at once. 2000, a good year indeed.
