Dear brian: Thanks for the posting! This sounds real good to me, a smart move on the part of CSCO. General Broadband... I even like the name; sounds solid.

Regards,

Lynn

Analyst Picks Health-Care, Telecom, Tech Stks

NEW YORK -- Banc Of America Capital Management senior market analyst Walt Czaicki is focused on the health-care, telecommunications, and technologies industries....

In the tech sub-space, Czaicki said Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) is "well-positioned as telecom carriers migrate from the old-line telecom networks to the Internet backbone."

Cisco is likely to increase its exposure of optical networks, Czaicki said.

In the telecommunications, he likes Qwest Communications International Inc. (Q) because "Qwest has done a good job of adding customers and wisely spending in areas such as Web hosting and application services."

Czaicki said investors should buy U S West Inc. (USW) shares because of the upcoming merger with Qwest, and the discounted price investors would pay.
