I think that was mostly a "cover your ass" comment that is typical of an offering of that type. I remember at the time
thinking the stock was reasonably valued. Look closely. He didn't say overvalued. He said NOT UNDERVALUED.

Notice the key phrase "NOT" undervalued. That is not the same as "overvalued" Most people feel that they believe it was FAIRLY valued at the time. They have been asked about this and point to the clever phrasing. They might not buy it because it was fairly valued and they knew of securities which were UNDERvalued. Plus, they each have a "full" position. <G>

What has happened since? They bought ALL of Geico. Geico has been on Tear. They bought Excecutive Jet. They bought Dairy Queen, and I think they may have bought Flight Safety too. And of course they have Gen Reinsurance now. And they are buying MidAmerica.

I think Interest rates were HIGHER then too. A lowering of rates raises the IV of the investment.
