At the risk of sounding blasphemous, why is everyone so hyped up over the Alta IPO? BLASPHEMER! <g> I think people (including me) are psyched because this is the third DSP IPO available to CMGIers and it is likely to be FAR larger in potential gains than NAVI or ENGA (no insult intended to those stocks -- which I procured through the DSP, BTW -- and which have done VERY nicely, thank you). ALTA is one of the true original portal/destination sites on the Web and hasn't IPO'd, so expectations are that this could be as successful as, say LCOS or the late GCTY. You could argue those sites weren't anything special either, but that didn't stop "investors" from running the price to speculative highs, either. And I, too, will be diving in to snag my 100. But I don't expect to flip them. I've held my NAVI and ENGA from the start and, of course, have been very pleased with the results to date. At 100 shares, they're not bank-breakers, but certainly entertaining, no? Good luck to you.
