lof...."high leveraged minded" or not, to use a rule of thumb where you are set up to take a forty percent loss in your portfolio is not very wise. so much for your strategy! the viewpoint that you pose is a sure recipe for disaster.... using options in such a highly leveraged fashion with potential magnitude of loss that you state is only accomplished by being extremely speculative....and when that does occur, bull market genius meets the reality of reg t call.... guess the perspective comes with experience....at least you learned how much margin a call portfolio uses...
