I always thought that PTH when given chronically to rats resulted in bone breakdown, whereas pulsatile PTH like that that is naturally secreted builds up bone (in concert with 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol). Therefore I am a bit confused about this work and the clinical trial that is to be started. Has anyone spoken with the company about this issue, particularly relating to this natural hormone's formulation for these studies?
