Hman, Bink, I keep thinking about how IDTC can use this sudden market attention to make itself known for more than just being "the company selling NTOP". --maybe the selling price is higher than $70, maybe it is really closer to $100. The tidbit thrown out yesterday may have only been planted to approximate a figure already agreed upon. You want to avoid AOL investors saying ok, NTOP was worth $45 before the rumor, why are we paying a 100% premium. Hopefully the sale is for more, much more. You get a bigger pop than with just a straight sale of NTOP. --maybe IDTC keeps the magic switch (which at the share holder meeting was discussed in hushed, reverent tones as not to disturb its beauty--much faster and much cheaper than Clarent's switch) and hardware aspects of NTOP to spin off in a subsequent IPO. It has questionable use to AOL. Now the only thing that I can think of against this possibility is when savvyguru asked HJ at the investor meeting who the switch belonged to, he thought that it was probably NTOP, but was "going to have to see about that to make sure". I also think this should happen. --maybe IDTC secures an exclusivity to NTOP traffic across its network; broadband through cable obviously would be in the jurisdiction of Time-Warner, we get the rest. Defining this at the sale would be outstanding. Bet it happens. --IDTC states at the press conference sale that the cash used in the deal will be directed towards imminent growth related structures under care of new corporate banking partners. And the company will be restructured as part of its investor plan to be announced shortly. Keeps investors who are perhaps momentum investors here. Bigger things lay ahead. --(and I like this part)multple upgrades within 24 hours led by Kaufman's Vic Grover (right Vic? You said you wanted to see something that would make you change your opinion, how about this?),start to drop like carpet bombs on the Iraqi dessert. No key element of the plan is released but you have just used AOL's stage to launch your platform. For @*%&*%$ free. I'm sorry but I am a little too pumped.
