Wasn't it Fleckenstein that was short this stock big-time? Do you think he's still short? These kinds of moves have to be depleting the capital base of his fund significantly. Can there be anything left? And what happens if a stock kites so high so fast that there is enuf capital left in the short's fund to cover? Do the partners get a call on their personal assets or how do people get paid?

Good Luck To Each And All

Mostly short trades to exploit a short term overbought situation, to be covered on any pullback.

(you only stated why you closed a long position...I agree and never stated the opposite. But if the bus is driven too fast it can perhaps be a bit out of cycle.)

Zeev,

Re: day trading

I sold all my Keogh RMBS shares today (I never sold any RMBS before) - @ 170 & 171 1/2.
- BUT, I bought them and 12% more back 5 minutes later for 152 & 151 1/2.

So, you were not alone day trading today.

I couldn't resist this non-taxable opportunity.
