Tenchu, Any market leader who gets arrogant and passive can fall from grace and be end run. look back at the beta fiasco where they had a better format but refused others who go together and made a new standard which then surpassed beta even as it continued to be technically inferior but was marketed in a superior way. Sony held on to the betacam format of professional camersa and has only started to lose that with the move to HDTV in digital tech. Sony has fought to keep the whole enchilada to Sony and the others might just find a way around it. Of course MSFT has a long tradition of monopoly stuff and failures in non monopoly areas so the success if this venture is by no means assured....but neither is it's failure. Bill
