Hi Joey, re: your excellent post. I bet you're right (i.e. Intel's strong position, SUNW pushing Sparc over Itanium, and how HP seemed to attempt this with their product too, initially, but then seemed to increase their support for Itanium as time progressed). Amy J

That's a very good conclusion.

I guess we'll see just how strong that hand is when ITanium systems ship this fall.

If they beat SUN's UltraSparc III systems to market by a significant amount of time, Scott and Bill may find little "JOY" in their next year's forecasts.
