<<don't you want to at least give some kudos to nite?>>

Certainly - I did note that. Read my last post - after declining for 4 consecutive trading days, statistically, NITE's bounce was not unexpected. NITE is a volatile stock, so wide swings can happen. NITE's rise was augmented not only by the technical factors, but by something of a sector phenomenon (true, not ALL financials benefitted). Add these, and you have a pretty nice bounce.

I don't break out the champagne, because the volume needs to be better. While greater than in a while, it is still not quite what one would like to see. Other things - the stock has regularly hit the previous close today (and even printed a teeny below), until it took off together with the rest of the market. So, relative strength vs the market is not too hot. It would have been better had it gapped up, and kept up.

For these reasons, my enthusiasm is tempered. The stock needs to show SG strength. I don't think it is anything too worrisome, because it has not based long enough to shake out all the less committed holders. It is therefore natural to expect, that any move up will be met with bailing by some longs, which cause dips. If NITE had based for 5-8 months at this level (30-35), you'd see it take off in a "straight up" fashion. This is not likely to happen, because it is not a "sleepy" stock - there is too much business and technical activity for it to base very long.

Still - better up than down!
