Semitool actually has the most copper electrodeposition tools in the field. But counting "copper market share" is tricky because you also have barrier and seed layers to worry about. If a fab uses AMAT barrier and seed deposition systems, and a Semitool copper fill system, both companies will probably claim "copper leadership" in that fab.

Also, "superior technology" and "market leadership" are not necessarily the same thing. AMAT claims that their copper fill system gives a more manufacturable process than either of the competitors. Even if that's true (reasonable people may disagree--both approaches have pros and cons), it may not have translated to sales yet.
