Steve, have you got any new thoughts on ANEN? Look like it is stuck on lower ground here. T2 material.

TXCC - this is the unanimous Tarzan now. Retailers could not get enough of it after seeing the type of shows put on by the likes of TQNT, PMCS and AMCC. Maximum mo-mo on Tarzan for now.

OPMR - a lower low today. Not good short term as small retailers sold to raise cash to chase after the PMCS's. I was tempted too today but my monkey buttons were not working when I needed it. Thought about switching from OPMR to PHCM when PHCM was below $110. Too late.

ELTX - Liam, ELTX hit the $15 support and bounced back up. Don't know if MM's were behind the rebound but the breakout is now sustained. Since we are less than 10 days from the CC on 2/28, I am less likely to sell short term now.

Thread,

this was the piece I saw in Briefing.com this morning about optical storage.
________

Optical Storage

Optical storage isn't ready for prime-time yet. But it's a technology worth keeping an eye on as it fuses two of today's hot areas - optics and storage.

The explosion of the Internet and e-commerce has resulted in increased demand for storage. According to Forrester Research companies will quintuple their storage expenditures over the next five years. At present, magnetic storage is king as it is readily available and cheap. However, many in the tech world contend that it won't be long before magnetic devices fail to meet the capacity needs of storage hungry businesses.

Given its ability to store several hundred times more data than magnetic, optical storage is the natural next step. For it to gain widespread acceptance, however, costs will need to come down and reliability will have to improve.

By most accounts it will be a couple of years before optical storage begins to take flight. Again, with development stage technologies their are big risks. But with the obvious demands for increased storage capacity, and VC money pouring in, Briefing.com expects optical storage plays to be hot, hot, hot in the not too distant future. Consequently, in future Briefs, we will identify those companies, such as the privately held Siros, that are likely to be big players in this promising market.
