you could make that argument i suppose.. similarly you couldmake the argument that ASA is about to collapse... but the economic backdrop does not justify such moves. neither does the price of gold or the BKX in MER's case. there's a reason MER topped in the Summer of 1998 and has been topping ever since.... and there's a reason ASA bottomed in the Summer of 1998 and has been basing ever since.... when the stock mkt goes, MER goes and the whole system goes... and you want gold.
