Good point, but not conclusive. CREE and GMST tracked each other very closely until mid January when CREE shot ahead. What happened in mid January that so changed investor perceptions? Maybe it was the Prudential report on Cree combined with good earnings. I was in before the report and it didn't really contain anything new, but maybe it brought the stock more into public interest. Personally, I use board attention as one of the minor criteria to pick stocks, and it's worked well for me.
