Margin debt is around 1.5% of market cap now. You know what is was in 1929? 30% plus. That should help put things into perspective. <H>

But he is trying to help the economy the only way he knows how, and does not understand the tech issues and the dynamics that you mentioned. I hate to disagree with you, RM, but Dr. Greenspan's charter is to protect the US dollar, and he's done an incredible job of it. He won't let the parochial interests of the tech community get in the way of his mission, however, and that's earned him the enmity of many. There's nothing personal in what he's doing, though; he just doing an incredibly complex job better than anyone has ever done before. jmho, unq
