d, I have parrot'ed many times that Barrick's hedging may be good for their bottom line, but it does add to the depressing of the price of gold. In addition I have also added my speculation that I agree with many, that the people running Barrick are very good at obtaining the types of business dealing that they see as good for the short and long term success of Barrick. Now eventhought I had, and still have no facts to support my speculation, I am taken a back with the past article that gives an non Barrick employee their view of a possible "what is" Barrick's hedge program. Whereas its easy to lie and twist & turn and display anything as bad or corrupt, one doing so has to balance a misrepresentation so that equal complexity is obtained on both sides, else it will be easy to debunk the interperation. Please see the mention below of that article, and note that the article presents the Barrick hedge program in a way that would require many persons knowing different parts, while at the same time noone knows the complete whole, not even Barrick's president. Something like this to happen is characteristic of the business dealing inside a criminal organization that deals with outside business, some legal and not, and some honest and not. So, bottom line, unravel the interpertation of that article by showing that certain parts or portions are provable to be incorrect. Else, Barrick is as those say, Trapped inside a mess of their own making, which translates that in the near future IF price of gold explodes higher, that Barrick will be crushed, and the shareholders will pay the price thru their shares becoming worthless. Law suits will ofcourse appear like mushrooms in a damp forest the morning after dark, as shareholders who thought they were bright and smart see that they were mushrooms. doug ...good sport, unless perhaps you are a Barrick shareholder. In that case... Reginald H. Howegoldensextant.com February 14, 2000 row@ix.netcom.com The New Dimension: Running for Cover
