Golden Fortune Investments Limited - Golden Fortune awarded China contracts Golden Fortune Investments Limited GFX Shares issued 9,808,250 2000-02-08 close $0.27 Wednesday Feb 9 2000 An anonymous director reports James Tong's recent trip to China has successfully culminated in an agreement in principle between the company's wholly owned subsidiary, G F Technology Development Inc. (GF), its joint venture partner, Laikeman Trading Enterprise (LT) and Nanjing Zhonngbei (group) Co., Ltd. of China (NZ). Environmental project Nanjing Zhonngbei (Group) Co., Ltd. is a public company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange of China under representative No. 0421. NZ is a conglomerate company with a number of business interests. NZ has assets in excess of $72.5-million (U.S.) and showed profits of approximately $9-million (U.S.) with recorded revenues of over $23-million (U.S.) in 1998. One of their major holdings is in bus and auto leasing businesses. They have one of the largest fleet of buses in China and are also the authorized service and maintenance company for Volvo Bus Corporation in China. Laikeman is a state-owned company under the direction of the ministry of trade with a mandate to import and adopt foreign technologies into the Chinese marketplace. Laikeman is also registered with the China New High Technology Development Zone and has government licensing to deal with a variety of technology products and services. GF will install several DeSmog units on Zhonngbei's buses to demonstrate the pollution reduction and fuel savings. This installation will take place in Nanjing city during early March. Positive results during this testing period will lead toward expansion of NZ's involvement in the production and distribution of the DeSmog unit in China. It is expected that a successful test will also result in the product's acceptance by the Chinese government for mainstream distribution to the China market of over 100 million vehicles. GF and Laikeman are also in talks with other Chinese companies to test the de-smog units. More announcements will be made as they become available. Wireless Internet project ChinaTech Trading, the company that has optioned the Wireless project, attended China under Mr. Tong's accompaniment and inspected the contracts, joint venture partners, manufacture facilities and proposed installation site for project Gateway. ChinaTech has informed Golden Fortune that it will proceed with the project and is currently arranging the final details for the financing package.
