There's no doubt there was a short squeeze, but what RMBS has done now is correct the previous problem, and it's beginning to be widely adopted. There may be volatility, but its time has probably come.

In any case--I mentioned the puts as I was curious about this type of situatoin where even when a stock is overbought, price of puts goes up, and to some it may be worth selling puts to finance whatever else they're doing.
