Today - Identix/ANADAC to Supply BioLogon Products to the Federal Government

"ANADAC Inc., Identix's wholly owned subsidiary, will have the ability to sell Identix's award-winning BioLogon(TM) products to the federal government via the General Service Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule. "

"several hundred federal agencies"

Grant Evans says,"ANADAC critically contributes to Identix's distribution strategy, with its coverage of the federal government, GSA schedule and the important reseller support component of this market sector."

"ANADAC sells highly targeted biometric applications to the government and to resellers who supply federal customers, creating a singular advantage that can enable the broad adoption of Identix's BioLogon products throughout the government sector."

********* Question *******

Would Identix do this if they didn't feel extremely confident about winning a lion's share of the biometrics for the $1.5 billion US Govt National samrtcard ID RFP?

Why Biologon 2.0 and W2K are a perfect match

From page 58 of March 2000 PC World magazine -
"Unlike Windows 95 and 98, Windows 2000 requires you to log on using a name and password, and it uses that log-on authentication to control file access."

With absolute authentication provided by Biologon 2.0, Windows 2000 is a much more secure environment. This lends itself to much improved enterprise security for entities INCLUDING SEVERAL HUNDRED FEDERAL AGENCIES which now have access to Biologon 2.0 through the GSA schedule.

Think about it. All federal employess will have a biometric smartcard that allows them access to physical areas through V20 door units. They can also login to their computers through a combo smartcard reader/finger scanner into the W2K operating environment.

I predict that IDX & MSFT will work together very well.
