John, not sure exactly what these servers are either. Could look up Cobalt, whose products they appear to be patterned after. This aspect might be very popular after last week's hacker attacks:

SSL
Secure Sockets Layer

SSL is a transaction security
standard developed by
Netscape Communications to
enable commercial
transactions to take place over
the otherwise notoriously
nonsecure Internet. It's one of
a few competing security
standards.

Hi John, RE: "Intel BRANDED "Netstructure" servers?.... The Netstructure line of servers is aimed largely at making Intel a player in the field of business Internet appliances..."These are not general purpose platforms. These are fixed function devices that do one or two things well," said John Miner, general manager of the communications product group at Intel. The Netstructure line derives from technology Intel acquired when it bought iPivot and Dialogic, he said."

Anyone know if these compete with any of the Dialogic customers? i.e. does this move put to risk any current revenue drawn from the Dialogic division? It's not clear what these devices will do, thus it's not clear with whom they compete.

Thanks,
Amy J
