AVIR, sigh, my heart has been broken on a regular basis. This time I traded in my long position for AVIR calls, which although they've done well still seem not to reflect much upside anticipation in this stock. Let us not forget the lesson of VPHM which lay there like a lump until it went off in a rather big way.

NEW YORK, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley Dean Witter (NYSE:MWD - news) said strategist Leah Modigliani removed the firm's 1 percent portfolio positions in United Airlines parent UAL Corp. (NYSE:UAL - news) and bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (NYSE:CCE - news).

-- The firm added 1 percent positions in biopharmaceutical company Aviron Inc. (NasdaqNM:AVIR - news) and advertising conglomerate Interpublic Group of Cos. Inc. (NYSE:IPG - news), Morgan Stanley said.

There's a switch UAL & CCE for our AVIR. Gotta get out of those risky stocks and into the old workhorses <VBG>.

I wish AVIR would announce they plan to resubmit in a month. That way we could ride the wave yet again <g>.

BTW, had a doctor's appt yesterday and wore my SI t-shirt. We got to talking about stocks so I axed her about AVIR. She said she thought FluMist was a great idea (what'd you think I was going to say <gg>)
